PRODUCERS GUILD

Overview

The Producers Guild is a key pillar of Pearlwood, representing film producers who are responsible for the development, financing, and execution of film and television productions in Uganda.

As leaders within the film value chain, producers play a central role in transforming ideas into completed productions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.

Officially registered on 6th September 2018 and launched on 1st November 2018, the Producers Guild unites film producers to drive socio-economic development within the industry.

Aisha Namatovu
President

He produces films with a focus on promoting morals, hard work, and ethics. He is the founder and director of Chronicle Gospel Stream Limited. He is presently the Mount Zion Alumni International Fellowship (MZAIF) Uganda country coordinator and the MZAIF West/East Africa Zone financial director.

Awotunde O. Samson
Vice President

A dynamic and visionary filmmaker with over two decades of experience in acting, scriptwriting, directing, editing, producing, and distribution, he has made significant contributions to the film industry in Uganda and across Africa. As a co-founder and CEO of Vortex Films, he is dedicated to fostering a vibrant film market both locally and beyond. His work is widely recognized for its artistic excellence and strong advocacy for social justice.

Mzee Bwanika Julius
General Secretary

Ssesimba Taddeo (also known as Ssesimba Taddeo Ronnie) is a Ugandan filmmaker, producer, writer, and director recognized for his contribution to Uganda’s growing film industry. Born on 16 March 1986 in Kyazanga, Uganda, he has developed a reputation as a multi-talented storyteller working across film, television, and digital media.
