Overview

The Association of Film Actors Uganda Ltd (AFAUL) is the National Actors Guild representing the social and economic interests of film actors.

As the faces of the Ugandan film industry, actors and actresses contribute significantly to the identity and appeal of Ugandan cinema. The Guild is dedicated to advocating for the rights, welfare, and professional interests of performers, ensuring that their contributions are recognized, valued, and protected.

Objectives:

  1. Advocate for Performers’ Rights: Protect and advance the rights of actors and actresses by ensuring fair treatment, equitable compensation, and improved working conditions within the industry.
  2. Promote Professional Growth: Support the development of members through training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, enhancing their skills and career prospects.
  3. Foster Industry Unity: Build a strong, collaborative community of performers to strengthen their collective voice and contribute to the overall growth and professionalism of Uganda’s film industry.

Management:

An elected team of industry professionals leads the Actors Guild, advocating for the interests of performers. The Guild operates as a collective voice for actors and actresses, liaising with stakeholders across the film industry to promote and protect their interests.
